Job Title: Payroll Officer
Location: Essex
Hybrid: Yes - (4 days a week at home - only 1 day a week in the office)
Salary: £30,000
Hours: 37
JGA are partnered with a fantastic payroll team who are seeking a new Payroll Officer to join them!
You will manage end-to-end payroll processes across multiple organisations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Running payrolls from start to finish.
Process and maintain accurate payroll records.
Starters, leavers, and statutory/occupational leave.
Handle salary deductions in line with policies, HMRC regulations, and pension requirements.
Respond to payroll-related enquiries and manage shared email inboxes.
Process pensions for employees.
Provide team support and cover when needed.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven payroll processing experience.
Strong knowledge of tax, NI, and statutory payments.
Familiarity with payroll systems (iTrent preferred).
Gross-to-net calculations.
Strong IT, numeracy, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
Flexible, proactive, and customer-focused approach.
