Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cleaning & Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day cleaning and general maintenance operations at Yate Shopping Centre. This role is essential in ensuring that the centre remains clean, safe, and well-maintained for both customers and tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and lead a team of cleaning and maintenance staff.
* Oversee daily cleaning operations across the shopping centre.
* Ensure health & safety compliance at all times.
* Conduct regular inspections of the premises and report or address maintenance issues.
* Coordinate with external contractors for specialist repairs or services.
* Maintain cleaning and maintenance supplies inventory.
* Create staff rotas and manage attendance.
* Provide training and guidance to team members.
* Liaise with centre management regarding operational needs and improvements.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a cleaning and/or maintenance supervisory role.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Good understanding of health & safety regulations.
* Ability to manage a team effectively and work independently.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Flexible and hands-on approach to work.
