Regional Sales Manager - Field Based, South West


Job Summary

This field-based role is responsible for achieving KPIs and managing sales development, account management, trade engagement and brand activation for a geographical territory within the UK and Ireland. It requires 4 days of time on the road supporting trade customers and occasional evenings and weekends. The role covers the South West of England and South Wales and requires the candidate to be located in the territory.


Role Overview

* To achieve the guest, APD & Revenue targets for your geographical sales area as set by the business.
* Develop key relationships within your account portfolio with key decision makers and influencers.
* Ensure you achieve % On Board Sales & % Automation targets for your stores/regions in your geographical area.
* Maintain a robust training plan ensuring all staff in your area complete Celebrity Cruises training and evidence its achievement.
* Drive sales and engagement within own accounts & area using technology such as social media, virtual meetings and telephone calls.


Key Responsibilities


Sales and Planning

* Manage sales for multiple categories of high street accounts, focusing on revenue growth.
* Prepare and roll out agreed sales and marketing plans for accounts with regular face‑to‑face and virtual reviews.
* Implement the brand intensification “hot spot” strategy and target high‑potential stores.
* Develop detailed call plans with face‑to‑face contact and follow‑up phone contact.
* Record all visits and conversations in Salesforce promptly and follow up consistently.
* Plan and attend sales meetings with Regional Sales Managers, HQ, and key decision makers to target activity.
* Monitor and report on holiday & cruise company trading feedback, competitor activity, pricing, marketing, and sales incentives.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to generate new opportunities and drive lead generation.


Trade Engagement & Commitment

* Implement a structured training programme covering product and booking tools.
* Achieve onboard sales and automation targets in your geographical region.
* Ensure all teams in your area are active in the Celebrity Rewards programme.
* Prepare and host successful client educational trips such as seminars at sea, ship launches, ship visits, and conferences, measuring post‑event sales performance.
* Plan and host consumer and trade cruise events, demonstrating return on investment.
* Leverage social media to engage with agents.


Execution

* Execute agreed sales and marketing activity and track ROI.
* Represent Celebrity Cruises at travel industry exhibitions or events as required.
* Forecast and manage the co‑operative sales and marketing budget.
* Structure your calendar to maximize customer time while completing administrative activities promptly.
* Take accountability for self‑development, completing all required training and additional learning opportunities.

This is a full‑time field‑based sales role. Monday‑Friday with flexibility to work weekends as needed.


Experience / Skills Required

* Minimum 18 months of sales experience (travel industry preferred).
* Proven track record of driving tangible sales results.
* Knowledge of cruise or travel industry preferred.
* Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to spend up to 4 days a week on the road, including overnight stays.
* Must be located within the South West.
* Clean current driving licence.
