Due to the challenging nature of highly technical projects, this role requires an autonomous, self-starter with the ability to lead from the front. The successful applicant will be an effective communicator with a flexible and adaptable mindset, capable of working effectively in a team environment.
Core Role and Responsibilities
1. Responsibility for the development and implementation of safe, electrical working practices in accordance with recognized industry standards and approved codes of practice including:
1. Risk assessment
2. Co-ordination, control, and safe management of external contractors
3. Preparation of HV/LV concept design specifications from external HV to internal LV distribution to process equipment point of connection
4. Renewable energy, Battery storage (BESS), Private Wire and Microgrid solutions
2. Develop, control, and ensure delivery against the project budgets including profit, preliminaries, and procurements.
3. Implement detailed programs and schedules which allow accurate monitoring and reporting of progress
4. Secure and manage the appropriate resources to deliver the project/scheme effectively and efficiently in a professional manner to ensure successful delivery within project constraints.
5. Implement and manage the development of the Project Quality Plan, Trade Quality Plans, and Defect rectification procedures
6. Ensure there is a successful and smooth handover of the project, including support to customer/end user throughout the handover process
Essential Qualifications and Experience
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant Electrical role role
3. Knowledge and experience of DSEAR/ATEX/HAZOP/COMAH preferred
4. Strong PC skills including MS applications, MS Project, and AutoCAD
5. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills

1. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
2. Clean Room/Dry Room Production environment experience
3. UK Driving licence
