Trainee Arboricultural Consultant (Arboricultural Technician)
Location: Barkisland, West Yorkshire (primarily office-based with flexibility for home working)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Starting Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are looking to recruit a Trainee Arboricultural Consultant (Arboricultural Technician) who is looking to begin or further their career in the industry. The role offers a clear development path, full mentoring, and hands-on training in all areas of arboricultural consultancy work.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with site surveys to record data on trees, shrubs, and other relevant site features.
* Enter and manage technical data for use in reports.
* Prepare documentation using JCA templates (Word, Excel and CAD).
* Contribute to mapping and plan preparation.
* Develop tree and plant identification skills, alongside knowledge of pests and diseases.
* Provide administrative and technical support to senior consultants.
Requirements
* Enthusiastic and willing to learn with some prior experience in arboriculture or related fields.
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience with CAD desirable.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Excellent attention to detail and willingness to undertake site work.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
