Join Our Team as an Indirect Goods and Services Procurement Manager!

Brakes is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join our dynamic Indirect Goods and Services (IG&S) procurement team within the Merchandising department. This is a full-time, permanent position that promises to be both challenging and rewarding!
As a key player reporting to the Head of Indirect Goods & Services, you will be essential in building and managing a reliable supplier base that keeps our business running smoothly. The IG&S team oversees a diverse range of categories, including utilities, fuel, transport, warehousing, and more, across all Sysco GB companies. You’ll have the chance to take ownership of your own categories, ensuring you source goods and services that meet our high standards of quality, service, and price.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with the expectation of one or two visits per week to our Ashford, Kent office. So, if you’re within a commutable distance, we’d love to hear from you!
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders to source cost-effective goods and services.
* Negotiate and manage contracts to deliver cost savings and operational efficiency across the Group.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and improving product and service levels.
* Act as an escalation point, taking ownership of and resolving any issues that arise in your area.
* Ensure all products are sourced in compliance with group policy, including our CSR commitments.
* Work alongside experienced negotiators and a strong legal team to achieve successful contract conclusions.

You should be a confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, and enjoy working in cross-functional teams. Building strong relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers will be key to extracting maximum value.
