Overview

Attendance Mentor 37 hours per week (Mon-Thurs 7.30am-3.30pm, Fri 7.30am-3pm), term time plus 1 week. Temporary in the first instance. Grade 4 Point 7-10 £26,403 - £28,142 FTE pro rata (£22,786.80 - £24,287.62). Start date – as soon as possible.

South Wigston High School is a vibrant, exciting 11-16 school on the outskirts of Leicester. We are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Attendance Mentor to contribute to the work of South Wigston High School. You will play a vital role in supporting learners and families to overcome challenges, build positive routines, and re-engage fully in school life.

* Deliver early interventions to improve attendance and punctuality.
* Mentor young people to raise aspirations and restore confidence.
* Collaborate with staff, safeguarding teams, and external agencies.
* Celebrate successes and make a tangible impact on learners’ futures.
