PE Teacher Location: Erdington Start Date: September 2025 Salary: MPS/UPS – Competitive, dependent on experience About the Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated PE Teacher to join our secondary school in Erdington. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality physical education lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring them to develop a lifelong interest in sport, health and fitness. You will play a key role in promoting physical well-being and encouraging positive participation in extracurricular activities. Role Responsibilites: Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons in line with the national curriculum. Develop students’ skills, knowledge, and confidence in a variety of sports and physical activities. Monitor and assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. Promote health and fitness awareness within the school community. Organise and support extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and events. Contribute to the wider life of the school, including participation in school trips and competitions. Maintain high standards of behaviour and ensure a safe learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues within the PE department and across the school. Role Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK. Relevant degree or qualification in Physical Education or Sports Science. Experience teaching PE at secondary school level (KS3 and KS4). Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for PE. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities. Good organisational and communication skills. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
