We are currently seeking to recruit an accountant to join the finance department at a leading investment bank in London. The successful candidate will join the management accounting team also known as performance steering, based in London. This role will report to the head of the PS group. You will play a pivotal role in providing top-notch management accounting and reporting services for our IT areas. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with management, Project Office, and offshore teams to gather and validate monthly financial data for expense reporting. Contribute significantly to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial information. Prepare and present global reports with insightful commentary for key stakeholders. Liaise with various departments to ensure consistency in financial reporting and analysis. Conduct reconciliations, control checks, and reviews to maintain financial accuracy. Assist in resolving coding issues and queries related to billing and cost reviews. Provide timely support and assistance to internal clients and stakeholders. Requirements: Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent). Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyse financial data effectively. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver results within tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; macro-level knowledge is advantageous. Prior experience in cost accounting and preparing management commentaries. Familiarity with General Ledger systems (e.g., SAP) and data management systems (e.g., Hyperion Essbase/Oracle Smartview); Tagetik experience is a plus.
