Job Description
Joining IPS as a Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Co-pack Operation to meet planned volume and commercial targets in accordance with Quality and Safety standards. You will be a role model for best practice at all times, and through innovation, deliver cost savings and support to the site.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Key Duties Of a Production Manager
* Primary point of contact with the Customer.
* Effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plans are met on an hourly/daily basis.
* Motivate a team to meet production targets.
* Ensure the final product meets client specifications.
* Utilise onsite Warehouse Management systems.
* Adhere to and promote best practices in accordance with health, safety, and quality regulations.
* Ensure all paperwork and systems are completed accurately per company procedures.
* Maintain compliance with hygienic audits, both internal and external.
* Ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and housekeeping are strictly followed.
* Assist in developing a skills matrix for all production workers.
* Attend Line Leader meetings and relevant training courses as required.
* Identify and develop Line Leaders for success planning.
* Train and develop new starters.
* Be a role model for best practices.
* Monitor, control, and minimise waste.
* Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a production/co-pack environment.
* Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.
* Clear and positive communication skills.
* Knowledge of procedures and compliance demonstration.
* Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work to meet strict deadlines.
* Commitment to respond to changing customer needs.
* Ability to work towards targets/KPIs.
* Recognise and promote continuous improvement.
* Drive performance improvements to achieve service objectives.
