Astute's Renewables team is partnering with an Operations & Maintenance specialist responsible for the management of utility-scale, ground-mounted solar PV and BESS assets across the UK and Europe. We are recruiting for a Head of O&M to oversee the field delivery of all operational and maintenance contractual commitments across a growing portfolio.The Head of O&M role offers a competitive salary depending on experience, along with a company vehicle and fuel card.If you're working in a similar senior operational role and looking to join a highly experienced team in a stable and growing industry with long-term career prospects, please read on and apply below.Responsibilities and Duties:Reporting to the Operations Director, you will:Oversee delivery of all O&M contractual obligations across electrical, grounds, security, and SCADA servicesLead performance management, development, and oversight of all field operations staffEnsure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, contractual requirements, and company standardsDrive operational efficiency and continuous improvement across field operationsDevelop and expand the organisation's BESS O&M capability and support new business growthEnsure all remedial works are accurately costed, delivered on time, and within budget while maintaining marginsMonitor and ensure adherence to SLA and performance targets across the portfolioOversee effective management of field equipment, assets, and operational resourcesLead coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth service deliveryPromote and embed company policies, Integrated Management System standards, and best practice across operations.Professional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:Extensive experience managing O&M delivery for utility-scale Solar PV and BESS assets in the UKStrong technical understanding of solar farm operations and maintenanceProven experience managing large, multi-disciplinary field teamsRelevant electrical qualificationsRelevant Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent)Full, clean UK driving licencePersonal skillsWe are looking for someone with the following:Strong leadership experience in operational field environmentsAbility to mentor, develop, and manage teams effectivelyStrong problem-solving skills in complex operational settingsExcellent communication skills with both technical teams and external stakeholdersConfident decision-maker with a strong focus on safety, quality, and complianceSalary and benefits of the Head of HV/SAP roleSalary up to £100k depending on experienceVan and fuel card25 days Holiday (Plus Bank Holidays)Company PensionOther company Benefits#LI-MN1INDRENAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
