* Design and develop comprehensive solution architectures that meet SEPA's business needs, technical requirements and SEPA's architectural principles, policies, and technology strategy.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the development lifecycle.
* Conduct regular reviews of existing systems and architectures to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
* Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure SEPA's solutions remain innovative and effective.
* Participate in the Architecture Forum and other governance bodies to ensure alignment with SEPA's overall IS governance model.
Respect for your expertise
This is a highly important role within our Finance, Modernisation & Digital portfolio, which means you’ll need:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Comprehensive experience as a Solution Architect or similar role, preferably within a public sector or environmental organisation.
* Comprehensive experience in designing solutions based on business requirements which are aligned to strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
* Strong knowledge of architectural principles, frameworks, and best practices.
* Experience with cloud computing, data management, and cybersecurity.
* You will need to be within commutable distance to our SEPA Offices around Scotland.
