We currently have an exciting role for a Financial Manager providing an excellent opportunity to join the Moran Logistics team at our Castle Donington Headquarters site. JOB PURPOSE: To ensure the efficient and effective delivery of financial management and control in the business with compliance to statutory, legislation and fiscal requirements. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Ensure the accuracy, completeness and robustness of data integrity within the finance system and reporting with up-to-date processing of transactions All balance sheet accounts reconciled to a minimum every 4 weeks, bank weekly Produce all financial legislative, statutory, and fiscal reports for the business including statutory accounts and vat returns Provide technical advice and knowledge for the business on all areas of financial legislative and fiscal compliance and procedure Management of daily banking activities and accurate cashflow forecasting for next 12 months To ensure effective and efficient management of the company procure to pay process To ensure the accurate and timely raising of sales invoices and collection of all debts. Ensure an accurate fixed asset register is maintained for all asset classes and funding methods in line with the business operation of those assets Support the production of the weekly and period management reporting packs for actuals, budgets and forecasts Be the key lead on the audit process including planning timetables and audit deliverables Management and coaching of the finance team including part qualified accountants Health & Safety: To ensure you follow safe working practices. To promptly report all accidents and incidents to your line manager. To assist in accident investigations as necessary. To ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained. To adhere to relevant site rules, QEHS policies and procedures including quality procedures, HACCP, safe systems of work and environmental controls. Communication: To have good communication skills and ability to liaise verbally confidently with employees and Management. To discuss any points with third parties confidently and with relevant subject knowledge To keep your Manager up to date with any work issues that may affect deadlines. Flexibility and Ad-Hoc: To be flexible to work on a variety of duties and locations as required. To carry out any other task that is reasonable and within your skill set as business needs dictate. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) with at least 3 years post qualification experience in a senior manager finance role Strong knowledge of VAT, Accounting standards (FRS 102) Experience of working at a senior finance level in a highly geared SME Good knowledge of Corporation Tax and PAYE Knowkedge of Sage would be desirable but not essenential Ability to apply effective financial controls and procedures whilst maintaining business agility Confident, with an enthusiastic personality and a right first time approach Proactive and practical attitude to continuous improvement within the back office environment Mentoring approach to staff management and development Benefits of joining the Moran Logistics team: Supportive team environment Personal development opportunities Competitve package/pay Company pension contribution Onsite parking Moran Logistics are a dynamic and growing business within the chilled logistics arena who work with customers to provide tailor made, cost effective logistics solutions.
