Murphy is recruiting for a Commercial Manager to work with the Energy Team on the SSE ASTI Framework.

A day in the life of a Murphy Commercial Manager:
* Manage all commercial aspects of the project and maintain regular liaison with all stakeholders.
* Conduct monthly cost and value reconciliation reviews.
* Manage project contractual changes, including variations, contractor claims, and the early warning process.
* In conjunction with the Project Director, manage the project risk register and ensure mitigation measures are reviewed and implemented promptly.
* Support and oversee the project commercial team daily.
* Oversee project procurement, ensuring commercial advantage for the business.
* Maximize cash position, including WIP control, cash flow production, and improvement plans.
* Manage contractor costs weekly, ensuring full understanding of all costs and relaying performance information to improve final margins.
* Assist in managing the project programme alongside the Project Director and Planning Manager.
* Continuously seek to improve project performance commercially, including margin enhancement, change control, and risk avoidance.
* Manage project controls related to value, cost, production, and supply chain.

* Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent.
* Significant experience in a commercial role within the Civil Engineering / Construction industry.
* Expert knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract such as NEC.
* Understanding of programming techniques and project controls.
