Job Description: Bridge Engineer (All Levels — 2 Years Post-Graduate to Principal) Location: Liverpool Team: Highway & Rail Structures Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: 3 days office (Tue–Thu) / 2 days WFH (Mon & Fri) About the Role We are seeking talented Bridge Engineers at all career stages, from early-career engineers (2 years post-graduate) through to experienced Principal Bridge Engineers, to join our expanding Highway and Rail Structures team in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a wide range of bridge and civil structure design projects, working alongside a collaborative team committed to technical excellence and innovation. Key Responsibilities Depending on your level of experience, you will be involved in: Delivering the design and assessment of bridge structures and related civil engineering works. Working across highways and rail infrastructure projects. Contributing to project planning, technical reports, and design documentation. Supporting or leading design teams (responsibility level dependent on grade). Ensuring compliance with relevant design standards and processes. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders. What We’re Looking For Solid bridge design experience is essential. Candidates with general structural design experience may be considered, but must demonstrate a genuine interest in bridge structures. We are not seeking asset/maintenance-only engineers unless they also possess relevant design experience. A relevant degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. Progress toward chartership or fully chartered (ICE/IStructE) highly desirable. Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills.
