The role involves taking full responsibility for a Key Stage 1 class, supporting pupils through a key stage of their development, with a strong focus on phonics, early reading, writing and numeracy. The Role: Take full responsibility for a KS1 class. Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum. Deliver and support phonics and early reading development. Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching where required. Create a positive, inclusive and structured classroom environment. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff. Participate in planning, staff meetings and parent consultations. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
