Overview
We are offering a reception position (part-time or full-time) to join our existing Support Team at Oak Veterinary Group. We are looking for a friendly, hardworking, and enthusiastic client-centred individual to be part of our Reception / Support Team. Our busy practices thrive in an environment of collaboration and effective teamwork. The ideal candidate will have a positive work attitude, good organisational skills, and the ability to be empathetic with clients and assist their needs.
Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer care to clients and patients calmly and efficiently.
* Manage bookings, client registrations, and maintain the Practice Management System.
* Process payments, retrieve prescriptions, and handle daily debtor queries.
* Support Pet Health Care Plan administration and assist with insurance claims.
* Maintain cleanliness of waiting areas and consult rooms, manage stock, and interact confidently with domestic pets.
* Perform additional receptionist duties as required; a full job description is available for suitable candidates.
Working patterns
We require an additional staff member for a minimum of 30 hours per week up to 37.5 hours per week, within the hours of 8:00 am – 7:00 pm on weekdays and 8:30 am – 1:30 pm on Saturdays on a rota basis. The role may be based at our 3 surgeries (Haverfordwest, Fishguard and St David's) with an equal share of Saturday morning cover at the Haverfordwest branch.
