JOB DESCRIPTION About the role We have a new opportunity for a Systems Test Manager to join the Guinness Team. This is a permanent, full - time vacancy based in our Oldham office. We are currently working to a hybrid working style. The overall purpose of the role is to lead and manage the test team and drive the testing of both newly developed and changes to operational Information Systems supporting the Guinness Partnership across our Cloud, On-Premise and Vendor estate. The role also offers the ability to shape and improve our overall test strategy and our ways of working. What we are looking for We know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. You will be leading the testing of complex IT systems, and shaping a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will guide a high-performing team, supporting Agile and Waterfall deliveries in an established DevOps environment, ensuring our digital, cloud and legacy platforms meet the highest standards for our customers. You will be able to demonstrate these essential skills: Proven experience of testing IT Information Systems across a broad range of technology solutions and their associated integration platforms needed to support the quality assurance of system development delivery. Proven experience of line managing system testers in a medium to large organisation that includes customer facing digital applications, cloud and complex legacy IT. Experience of leading and testing within one or more system development delivery approaches such as Waterfall, SDLC, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, etc. Proven experience of developing high performing teams, managing resource allocation and estimating. Excellent oral and written communications with good knowledge of Microsoft Office, DevOps/JIRA or equivalent. Able to lead, engage and influence at all levels. Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours. Demonstrates the Guinness Leadership and Management Standard. Desirable skills: Knowledge of Social Housing. Knowledge of ITIL or equivalent frameworks. Broad experience of system testing across a range of technology solutions including ERP, CRM, ESB, Azure, Cloud, AI, IoT, RPA, etc. Knowledge of systems development methodologies. Experience of automated, stress, performance, risk based and non-functional testing. Essential Qualifications Educated to degree level in an IT related degree relating to application development or substantive professional experience in a similar role. Desirable Qualifications: ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level - Test Management (or equivalent). APM / Prince2 / Agile Practitioner / Certified Scrum Master. Any relevant IT certifications in Microsoft D365, Azure, NEC, and Oracle Fusion Cloud.
