As our employment practice continues to grow, we are looking for a talented and committed Employment Solicitor to join our team in the Reading area. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful, high-impact cases alongside experienced and highly regarded lawyers.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you will manage cases from initial instruction through to resolution. You will work closely with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions, contributing to high-quality legal work and helping shape case strategy.
While your primary focus will be employment law, there will be opportunities to support on a broader range of matters from time to time.
What Youll Be Doing
* Managing a varied caseload of employment matters from start to finish
* Drafting clear, persuasive legal documents including Particulars of Claim and submissions
* Conducting detailed legal research and analysis to support case strategy
* Working collaboratively with colleagues across the UK and US
* Leading or supporting settlement negotiations, including complex and high-value claims
* Building strong relationships with clients and guiding them through sensitive situations
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members
* Contributing to business development, marketing initiatives, and wider firm projects
* Continuously looking for ways to improve processes and how we deliver our work
About You
You are a capable and thoughtful employment lawyer who enjoys taking ownership of your work and making a real difference to your clients. xsngvjr
Youll likely bring:
* 4+ years PQE in employment law
* Strong experience in litigation, ideally through to Employment Tribunal or High Court
* A solid understanding of discrimination law and the Equality Act 2010
* Confidence drafting high-quality legal documents
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to put clients at ease
* A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
Experience working with senior executives or on high-value claims would be advantageous, but is not essential.
