Job Overview
As a B2B Sales Manager at Twinkl, you will be responsible for motivating and developing the sales team to deliver against ambitious growth targets. You will manage the performance of your team through regular 1-2-1s, coaching, and development, ensuring each team member has the support and guidance to excel.
A key part of this role will be using data to monitor pipeline health, track individual and team performance, and provide accurate sales forecasting to the leadership team. You will take a proactive, hands-on approach to pipeline management, ensuring opportunities are maximised and processes are efficient.
This role requires a commercially minded leader who can balance tactical thinking with operational execution. A key deliverable of the role will be developing transactional sellers into consultative BDMs. You will foster a high-performance sales culture that is data-driven, customer-focused, and aligned with Twinkl's mission to support educators worldwide.
This role requires you to stay up to date with the UK education system, curriculum developments and competitors to position Twinkl's memberships and products effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and develop the sales team through structured performance management, regular 1-2-1s, and clear target setting.
* Use CRM (Hubspot) and sales data to track pipeline progress, monitor KPIs, and report on sales performance to senior leadership.
* Develop a team of transactional sales peopleto be consultative sales experts, improving core sales metrics and driving solution based sales outcomes.
* Deliver accurate forecasting and ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.
* Identify performance gaps and implement strategies to improve conversion rates, customer engagement, and overall sales effectiveness.
* Support team members with complex negotiations, proposals, and closing high-value deals.
* Collaborate with marketing, customer success, and product teams to drive cross-functional alignment and customer satisfaction.
* Encourage a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth within the sales team.
Experience & Requirements
* Proven success in coaching and developing salespeople into high-performing BDMs.
* Experience building a consultative, solution-focused sales culture.
* Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within the education, EdTech or SaaS sectors.
* Strong consultative sales skills with the ability to build rapport and understand client needs.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Experience managing a sales pipeline and achieving/exceeding targets.
* Commercially astute with strong business development skills.
* Comfortable working with CRM systems, data analysis, and sales reporting.
