Budget & Finance Manager – Massachusetts State Retirement Board

The Massachusetts State Retirement Board (MSRB) is seeking an experienced Budget & Finance Manager to lead our finance team and oversee all daily and annual fiscal operations for the Massachusetts State Employees Retirement System (MSERS). Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll manage budgets, ensure compliance with GAAP, GASB, and state regulations, oversee accounts payable/receivable, lead audits, and serve as our in-house expert on MMARS, CIW, and the Commonwealth budget process.
We’re Looking For:
* Bachelor’s in Business, Accounting, or Public Administration (preferred)
* 5+ years in government finance, accounting, or budget management (Municipal or State agency)
* Knowledge of Massachusetts finance laws, GASB, and procurement
* Leadership skills and experience managing teams
* Chapter 32 experience or PTG experience (preferred)
* Hybrid work model (2+ days in office per week
