How You'll Make An Impact
* Set up and operate CNC machinery, following established procedures and engineering drawings.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and specifications to determine required machining operations.
* Measure and inspect completed parts to ensure they meet design and quality standards.
* Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure safe, efficient operation.
* Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to solve machining issues and support continuous improvement.
* Maintain accurate documentation of production data, including measurements, quantities, and any non-conformances.
* Keep your work area clean, safe, and organised in line with company health and safety procedures.
What You Bring
* Ideally, you’ll have completed a full Level 3 apprenticeship (including both NVQ and Technical Certificate); however, equivalent qualifications or substantial relevant experience may also be considered.
* Confirmed experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to expertly use machine tools such as lathes, horizontal borers, and grinders.
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and machining specifications.
* High attention to detail with strong measurement and inspection skills.
* Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
* Competent IT skills for logging and reporting production data.
* A proactive and safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Our Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonisation. This includes zero or low-emission power generation, along with all gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators under one roof. We provide decarbonisation opportunities through service offerings, modernisation, and digitalisation of the fleet.
