We are working with a leading accreditation body that’s currently looking for a skilled and experienced scientist to step into the role of Assessment Manager within their Agri-Food, Life Sciences, and Asbestos team.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong technical background and in-depth experience managing ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation in one or more of these sectors.
About the Role:
This role offers the chance to work in the public interest, helping to uphold the integrity and quality of testing laboratories across the UK. As an Assessment Manager, you’ll serve as the key point of contact for organisations seeking accreditation, guiding them through the process and ensuring high standards are maintained.
You’ll be responsible for:
4. Leading the assessment process from end to end
5. Selecting and coordinating assessment teams
6. Developing tailored assessment approaches
7. Compiling and reporting assessment outcomes
8. Maintaining strong, objective relationships with clients throughout each project
This is a home-based position that requires frequent travel across the UK, including regular overnight stays.
What They're Looking For:
9. Strong working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and its application in testing laboratories
10. Practical experience in Agri-Food, Life Sciences, or Asbestos testing environments
11. A degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline (professional body status is a plus)
12. Excellent communication, customer service, and organisational skills
13. Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17043 or ISO 17034 would be an added advantage
