About the Role Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Hastings to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Fully Qualified Teacher of Mathematics. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated educator to join a supportive department committed to delivering high-quality teaching and strong student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, supporting progress and attainment
* Monitor, assess, and report on student performance in line with school policies
* Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and departmental resources
* Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning
* Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
* Proven experience teaching Mathematics up to Key Stage 4
* Experience teaching Key Stage 5 is desirable but not essential
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics education
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
