We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join our client in Durham (MME2) as an HVAC Engineer.
About the Role:
Location: DH6 5NP
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM (flexibility to stay earlier or work overtime as required by the business)
On-Call Rota: Required (1/4)
Salary: £41,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Role Type: Static SiteKey Responsibilities:
Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on HVAC systems, building services, and plant equipment.
Manage risks associated with HVAC systems and improve their performance through preventative maintenance and the use of new technologies.
Perform fault-finding on various HVAC systems, including Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) air conditioning.
Use BMS systems to maintain a comfortable and controlled environment on-site.
Ensure safety on site by supporting Health & Safety initiatives and performing risk assessments.
Supervise and manage subcontractors as required.
Participate in the on-call rota for emergency call-outs outside of normal working hours.Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
F-Gas Cat 1 qualification
Strong experience in HVAC maintenance
A recognised apprenticeship or time-served qualifications in mechanical engineering
Proven ability to fault-find and perform complex HVAC repairs
Knowledge of risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work
Desirable:
Working at Height qualification
IPAF/PASMA
BMS system experience
