Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Events Co-ordinator to join this dynamic team. This pivotal role involves leading event coordination efforts, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and supporting the Events Office Manager. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with sales and operations teams to ensure flawless planning and execution of a diverse range of events. Key Responsibilities: Act as deputy to the Events Office Manager, stepping in as needed to maintain smooth operations. Deliver outstanding guest service consistently, exceeding client expectations and upholding the hotel's brand standards. Partner with the sales team to organise wedding fairs, hotel showcases, and client site visits to drive event bookings. Manage financial aspects including weekly Projected Business Reports, bookings compliance, credit accounts, and function billing accuracy. Maximise sales and revenue opportunities across all event areas, attending yield meetings in the Event Manager's absence. Proactively pursue provisional bookings, up-sell additional services, and monitor upcoming business to optimise occupancy and revenue. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitor offerings, pricing, and promotions to inform business development strategies. Utilise Opera Oracle Sales & Catering system for efficient enquiry handling, data management, and contract preparation. Provide detailed function sheets and timely updates to internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and event delivery. Foster strong working relationships with Front of House, Conference & Banqueting, culinary, Reservations, and Accounts teams. Assist in training new department staff and ensure operational teams are fully briefed on client requirements. Uphold health and safety standards, liaising with consultants and communicating relevant issues to senior management.
