What do the team do?
The Business team provides a mix of accounting services, including bookkeeping, forecasting, year end accounts preparations and tax returns for different sectors, including Healthcare. We have a relationship-centric approach and are trusted advisers to clients of all shapes and sizes, typically owner-managed, giving you the opportunity to deal directly with decision makers and help shape the direction of the firm.
What will I be doing?
As an Accounts Senior / Assistant Manager you will have ownership of the following tasks:
* Completing moderate to large accounts preparation assignments, including the accompanying tax computations.
* Clearing more complex queries directly with client and suggesting sensible solutions.
* Reviewing team members' work before passing to manager.
* Coaching juniors and providing feedback on the quality of their work and performance.
* Controlling assignment timeframes in line with pre-determined budget.
What experience do I need?
Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:
* A professional accounting qualification – ACA or ACCA (minimum criteria).
* Experience of working in an accountancy practice in the UK and preparing statutory accounts and tax computations for healthcare clients, in particular GPs (minimum criteria).
* Up to date working knowledge of VAT, including partial exemption.
* Client facing experience.
* Experience of using Sage, Xero and Quickbooks Online.
