Position: Multi skilled shift maintenance Engineer Location: Thurrock Starting Salary: £45,000-50,000 D.O.E Working hours: 4 on, 4 off shift rota working 4 days, 6am till 6pm, followed by 4 off followed by 4 nights, 6pm till 6am. Multi skilled shift maintenance Engineer role: We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Shift maintenance Engineer to join our clients Engineering department. Working as part of a team, the successful candidate will provide breakdown and maintenance cover on a varied range of machinery and ancillary support equipment. Multi skilled shift maintenance Engineer responsibilities include: To ensure that all equipment on site is in a safe condition and complies with current Health & Safety Legislation. To respond to machine faults across site, as directed by the Engineering Managers To complete Planned Preventative Maintenance as directed by Engineering Management. To complete breakdown and maintenance records for all work undertaken on site. To interact with onsite Engineering stores personnel, to include but not be restricted to, booking parts out of stores, assisting in sourcing alternative parts where the original is not available, returning unused parts to stores. To take part in meetings, supervision, training as requested. To undertake other duties commensurate to the grade of the post. The multi skilled shift maintenance Engineer: A keen interest and understanding of engineering principles. Be detailed, thorough, and accurate. Strong organisational and time management skills. Organised and calm under pressure. Proactive, positive, enthusiastic. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office. The multi skilled shift maintenance Engineer skills and experience: A recognised Engineering apprenticeship to ONC/HNC or equivalent Engineering qualification. Some working knowledge of electrical controls (PLCs, Contactors, Relays, inverter etc.) 18 th edition would be advantageous An understanding of pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
