A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Head of Digital Grid for the UK and Ireland, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the regionally aligned team toward successful project execution and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Head of Digital Grid Europe, you will act as the primary point of contact for Digital Grid in the UK, working closely with customers, regulatory bodies, and various stakeholders. Your responsibilities will focus on managing project delivery within the UK, ensuring timelines are met, budgets are adhered to, and client expectations are fulfilled. You will also collaborate with local and regional stakeholders to align project outcomes with broader company objectives and contribute to the growth of the Digital Grid business in the UK and Ireland market. This is a senior leadership role managing a UK & Ireland based team.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Lead the UK team in delivering Digital Grid projects, with a focus on Grid Automation, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and exceed client expectations.
2. Support Market Application teams by facilitating clear communication between Regional Digital Grid leadership, segment leads, and the UK team, aligning objectives and addressing challenges.
3. Build strategic partnerships with Region Market Application and GT Sales teams, fostering collaboration across segments to improve operational efficiency.
4. Stay informed about market trends and customer needs in the UK and Ireland, using these insights to shape strategies and promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
5. Provide operational insights to segment leads and participate in local SE Hub and GT Sales discussions to support informed decision-making and a unified approach.
What You Bring
6. Demonstrated leadership/ people management experience and strategic execution within a global organization, with strong knowledge of the energy transmission market in the UK.
7. Familiarity with UK-specific energy policies and regulations.
8. A university degree in an engineering discipline (desirable)
9. Brings extensive, demonstrable customer-facing experience and a proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
10. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication and presentation abilities.
11. Experience working in intercultural environments with globally dispersed teams, showcasing strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
