Looking for something slightly different than a trading role then this could be the role for you. We are recruiting for a buyer or category manager to join a leading retail business based within their north London office, this is a newly created and exciting role for the business that aim's to drive their own brand food sales internally in a leading FMCG business.
You will be responsible for maximising the sales of a key own label product range within the wider group by the implementation and delivery of key sales plans and initiatives ensuring you drive continued revenue growth and increase overall sales.
Your main responsibilities will involve;
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and objectives.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects.
* Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand market reach of Own brand.
* Coordinate overall brand presence and attend various trade shows
* Analyse sales data and market trends to develop actionable insights and strategies.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to drive business growth.
* Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
* Stay updated on industry & market developments and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
Key requirements:
* Proven track record of success in buying or category management, within a Retail environment preferably Food/FMCG Sector.
* Educated to Degree Level
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
* Be a motivated passionate sales professional and have the tenacity to deal swiftly in an ever-changing retail environment
* The ability to travel is required both UK & occasionally internationally.
