SEN Teacher – Primary Specialist Provision (Maternity Cover)
Location: Bury, Greater Manchester Contract: Full time, September start
We are currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teacher to join a well-established primary specialist provision in Bury on a maternity cover basis starting in September.
This setting supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, communication needs and moderate learning difficulties. The school has a strong reputation for its structured approach, high levels of support staff and focus on individualised learning.
The Role
You will take full responsibility for a class, delivering lessons that are adapted to meet a range of needs, while creating a consistent and supportive learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering highly differentiated lessons
* Creating a structured and predictable classroom environment
* Supporting pupils’ communication and engagement
* Managing behaviour in a calm and consistent way
* Working closely with Teaching Assistants and SEN staff
* Monitoring and tracking individual progress
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds QTS or equivalent qualification
* Experience within primary SEN or Autism settings
* Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation
* A calm, structured and reliable approach
* Able to commit full time for the academic year
