Your Role & Responsibilities
As the Registered Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and development for the children in your home. You will lead the day-to-day running of the home, manage staff performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations (England) 2015
Leading and developing a high-performing, child-focused care team
Managing safeguarding, care planning, and risk assessments
Overseeing the home's operations, including budgeting and maintenance
Building strong relationships with children, families, and partner agencies
Working toward and maintaining a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a confident leader with a solid background in residential childcare and a strong understanding of safeguarding and compliance standards.
Candidate requirements:
Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a children’s residential care setting
Excellent communication, organisation, and decision-making skills
Hold or be willing to work toward the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (within 2 years)
Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references
