An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as the Principal Pharmacist, Education and Training.
We are seeking a friendly, supportive and motivated pharmacist passionate about education and staff development. This highly rewarding role focuses on front‑line training and offers the chance to make a real impact.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of training for Trainee Pharmacists and oversee university placements.
* Work with external partners to ensure excellent learning experiences and contribute to evolving pharmacy training programmes.
* Support education for the wider healthcare team and collaborate with colleagues across the Trust and ICBs to deliver innovative and effective training strategies.
* Plan, implement and monitor the education and training of all pharmacy staff across the Trust to reflect the needs of staff and the service and meet required professional standards.
* Co‑coordinate and chair Local Faculty Group meetings.
* Serve as Education Programme Director for pharmacy education at the Trust, working collaboratively with counterparts across the South West London Acute Provider Collaborative to coordinate and deliver regional education and training initiatives.
* Participate in late duty, bank holiday and weekend rotas, be part of a seven‑day service and cover for leave as required.
The role requires good interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to organise and prioritise work, and the willingness to support personal and professional development through appropriate training.
