What impact you'll make
As a member of the Gas Power New Units insurance team, focusing on internal and external insurance needs, you will provide transactional support during contract negotiations by interfacing with customer and supplier insurance experts and identifying risks during underwriting. You will maintain relationships with insurers through annual seminars and discussions, manage insurance risk policies and thresholds, and deliver insurance and risk management training. You will also lead insurability efforts for New Product Initiatives (NPI) in partnership with Product Management, and support best practice sharing within the insurance team.
Responsibilities
1. Transactional Support: Interface internally with commercial operations and sales, provide risk analysis, obtain premium estimates, review policies, and ensure risk requirements align with GEV standards.
2. Relationship Management of Insurers: Cultivate relationships, support insurer seminars, and act as a point of contact for insurer inquiries.
3. Manage Insurance Risk Policies, Thresholds, and Exposure: Contribute to policy evolution, work with Corporate Insurance, support renewal processes, and provide guidance on claims settlement and training.
4. New Product Initiatives: Collaborate with product teams to address technology risks, negotiate contract insurability, and deliver risk management training.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* 5+ years in underwriting, risk management, brokerage, or related fields
* Knowledge of insurance coverage types and industry standards
* Professional designations like CPCU, ARM are a plus
* Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills
* Experience in analyzing and negotiating risk in contracts and resolving insurance recoveries

Additional Information
Position is full-time, mid-senior level, with a salary range of $128,400 - $150,000 USD, plus bonuses and benefits. No relocation assistance provided. Application deadline is 6/2/25.
