The RoleReporting to the PVC & Dean, the Deputy Dean will play a pivotal role in providing effective operational leadership of the faculty. You will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality learning and teaching, research and knowledge exchange and innovation activities across the faculty. As Deputy Dean, you will manage the faculty planning and resources to support the full range of activities both current and new, promoting an inclusive, supportive and inspiring environment for staff and students. You will champion change management initiatives, strengthen cross-faculty collaboration, and contribute to the University’s broader leadership agenda, deputising for the Dean when required. The Ideal CandidateYou will be an experienced academic leader with senior management experience in higher education and a doctorate or equivalent standing in a relevant discipline. You will have significant experience as a Head of School or equivalent, or Faculty Executive experience with a proven track record in delivering strategy, managing budgets, student planning, and leading high-performing teams. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of academic quality, research culture, and student experience, alongside the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
