We are a busy manufacturing company specialising in solution-led computing platforms, from tablets to industrial computers to rack systems. We operate in a wide range of industries such as medical, transport and defence and are based in Segensworth, Fareham.
We are looking for an experienced Inventory & Logistics Coordinator who takes pride in their work, has a good work ethic, and excellent communication skills, to join the team in our busy Logistics Department.
You will be responsible for ensuring all deliveries are accurately booked in on the day of arrival, checking received goods against purchase orders to ensure the correct items have been received, as well as reporting any damaged items in accordance with our internal processes.
As part of the logistics team, you'll be dispatching items, ensuring goods are packed securely to reduce damage in transit, whilst adhering to special instructions from customers. You will need to be able to complete any documentation required to a high standard.
In addition to goods in and goods out responsibilities, you will be picking kits and updating the system, accordingly, assisting the team with weekly, monthly, and yearly stock takes as required.
Essential Key Requirements:
* At least 2 years' experience, in a warehouse environment.
* International trade compliance or warehouse operations within an operational environment
* Basic understanding of material handling and shipping documentation.
* Ability to follow and maintain shipping regulations and safety standards.
* Familiarity with systems and software, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic knowledge of ERP systems.
* Strong organisational skills to ensure accurate and timely shipment and receipt of goods.
* Comfortable with manual handling and lifting heavy items safety. (Appropriate training will be provided)
* Willing to undertake fork-lift training.
* BPSS clearance will be undertaken by Captec.
* Completion of High/Secondary School or equivalent.
Desirable Requirements:
* Experience working within a computing environment.
* Strong communication skills, both internally and externally.
* Experience with procurement or inventory control.
* Post-secondary education in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.
* Detail and data-driven with experience in cycle counts and stock control.
