Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Sheffield (S13) Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time Do you have the enthusiasm and commitment to help young people succeed in the classroom? GSL Education are seeking dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Sheffield (S13). As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will support teachers in delivering lessons, assist students who need additional help, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment for all pupils. Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant (TA): Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who require additional assistance Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials Encourage student participation and engagement during lessons Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment Support classroom organisation and behaviour management in line with school policies Assist students with their learning activities and academic tasks Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to support student progress Requirements: Experience working with children or young people is desirable A patient, supportive, and positive attitude Strong communication and teamwork skills The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff A genuine interest in supporting students’ learning and development An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
