Job Description – Power Press Setter/Operator
SUMMARY
To set up and operate mechanical and Hydraulic presses.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Operate presses
2. Set and adjust presses
3. Audit and pass off own work to Samples
4. Troubleshoot tool problems
5. Maintain safe working practices within the Press shop
6. Development of new tools
QUALITIES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

WORKING CONDITIONS
Full time position- 39 hours per week - Shifts
Working conditions are normal for an engineering press shop environment, full PPE
will be worn (ear defenders overalls and steel toe cap footwear will be worn.
Involves the use of power presses for mass production blanking out of steel and alloy
components and their processing to final product
