Overview
We are looking for a Personal Assistant to support our client on family outings and in and out of the home. Our client is a 9 year old boy with autism.
Responsibilities
* Keep our client safe and entertained on family outings and in and out of the home.
* Provide personal care assistance as needed. Our client is double incontinent and uses pull ups.
* Play alongside our client and help with drinks, food and snacks.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Applicants must have a caring attitude, be patient, reliable and have a positive and flexible approach to work.
* Be physically able to manage an active 9-year-old who likes to be out and about.
* Being on time is important as family outings can take a lot to organise and once the children know they are going out we need to be ready to go.
* Experience supporting nonverbal, autistic children is useful, however full training on our client’s specific communication and understanding will be ongoing.
Training and Background Checks
* This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups). You will be asked to provide a copy of your certificate to your new Employer for their records.
