1. Rate of Pay $21.00 an hour
2. Required: Driver's License and Social Security Card
All hires are required to undergo and pass security clearances, 5 years employment and educational verification, background checks, drug screen and physical test.
As a member of the Menzies Aviation Cargo Handling team, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing freight while practicing all Company’s Safety Policy inclusive of, but not limited to wearing PPE, equipment operation, safe lifting procedures, or obeying speed limits when driving company vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
3. Reads air waybill, bills of landing, or freight manifest to determine the items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
4. Conveys freight from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas with forklift or transporter
5. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as consignee or destination
6. Sorts and stores dangerous good in a proper area
7. Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to other locations
8. Opens bales, crates, and other containers for break down. Records counts of items received or distributed
9. Weighs and counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards and air waybill
10. Performs cargo build-up and/or breakdowns, freight to and/or from skid, pallets or ULDs
11. Ensures that work areas are clean and hazard free of loose nets, straps, etc
12. Must follow all Security procedures as required
13. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
14. Must be 18 years of age or older
15. Must have current driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years.
16. Must have high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
17. Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing to include drug testing and a physical
18. Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
19. Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds on a continuous basis
20. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
21. Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal
22. Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
23. Prior loading and unloading of heavy products or equipment (preferred)
24. Forklift certification preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly work in outside weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, high voltages and high hydraulic/pneumatic pressures. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places.
