Job summary
This is a full-time 10 PA Consultant Dermatology Surgeon position based mainly at the Friends Dermatology Centre within Kent and Canterbury Hospital (KCH) in Canterbury. East Kent boasts a well-established surgical and Mohs micrographic surgery service, developed over many years with leading UK dermatologic surgeons. We seek an energetic and enthusiastic colleague with an interest in Skin cancer and advanced Skin surgery, with occasional clinics.
Main duties of the job
Role specific duties: The general responsibilities include providing a first-class clinical service, effective leadership, conducting practice to the highest ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality, supporting other specialties, and contributing to postgraduate teaching. The appointee will deliver a comprehensive dermatology service, with a preferred special interest to complement existing consultants.

Role specific duties: As a senior clinical employee, responsibilities include providing excellent clinical care, leadership, ethical practice, confidentiality, supporting clinical specialties, and contributing to postgraduate teaching. A special interest aligning with current team expertise is encouraged.
Your commitments

* Provide eight weeks' notice for leave to ensure service continuity
Teaching
We are passionate about education. You will help recruit and supervise junior staff, manage educational contracts, appraisals, study leave, and rotas. New consultants will enroll in an educational supervisor course.
Research
As a research-active trust, we encourage new consultants to become Principal Investigators, with full support and training.
