Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Water / Wastewater Salary / Contract Options * Up to £65,000 per annum depending on experience and working arrangements * Day Rate Negotiable, OUTSIDE IR35 Working Arrangements * Office or site based role * Full time office based with flexibility * Occasional site visits with travel expenses paid * Working from home available on an occasional basis by prior agreement * Hybrid working option of one to three days per week for a strong candidate Project Overview You will be working on technically complex projects across the UK water and wastewater sector, including: * UMON upgrade schemes at sewage treatment works * Pumped storm storage schemes at CSOs and sewage treatment works Key Responsibilities * Produce mechanical design deliverables that meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements * Prepare detailed design calculations and drawings for water industry projects * Direct, mentor, and develop CAD technicians, junior designers, and graduate engineers * Prepare scopes of work for subcontract mechanical and electrical design teams and review their outputs * Liaise with equipment suppliers and manufacturers to develop technical solutions * Prepare design investigations, technical reports, and s...
