Location: Rayleigh, Essex Salary: Up to £32,000 Summary: An exciting opportunity to join a well-established wholesale distribution business in a late shift 2pm - 10pm, Monday to Friday supervisory role. Supervisory experience within fast paced warehouse operations required. Key Responsibilities: Support the Warehouse Shift Manager in the daily running of operations, ensuring KPIs and service levels are achieved. Lead and motivate warehouse operatives, ensuring all colleagues are trained, supported, and performing at their best. Maintain safety and quality standards, ensuring compliance with all health and safety procedures and reporting any incidents. Plan and delegate daily workloads, manage stock control, and schedule resources effectively. Deputise for the Warehouse or Shift Manager when required, promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Skills and Experience: FLT licence (Counterbalance and Reach Truck essential); VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) experience desirable. Minimum 2 years' experience in a warehouse environment, ideally within carpet or flooring distribution. Proven leadership and coaching ability, with strong people management and communication skills. Good IT and technical skills with an eye for accuracy, organisation, and problem-solving. Resilient, reliable, and customer-focused, with a positive attitude and commitment to safety and performance.
