Managing Surveyor – £36,000 to £50,000 + Annual Bonus + Benefits
Location: Brentwood
Are you an experienced surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a hands-on Managing Surveyor to lead and coordinate surveys across commercial and domestic projects, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Location: Flexible within operational area
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
What You’ll Do
You will manage the end-to-end survey process, from receiving orders to producing detailed reports, while coordinating site teams and engaging with clients. Key responsibilities include:
* Survey fire compartmentation, doors, and installed systems, identifying defects and ensuring compliance with regulations and manufacturer specifications
* Produce detailed, standards-based survey reports, including recommended remedial actions
* Schedule surveys, allocate labour, and manage equipment and workflows
* Conduct site visits for quotations and scope definition, engaging professionally with clients
* Oversee health, safety, and quality compliance, adhering to ISO standards and best practice
* Support team development and maintain knowledge of current industry legislation and techniques
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* IFE/ASFP Level 2 in Passive Fire
* FDIS (or equivalent) Level 2 or 3 Fire Door qualification/certificate
* CSCS card
* SSSTS or SMSTS certification
* Strong understanding of compartmentation and installation details
* Proven experience in passive fire protection and site team management
* Experience liaising with clients and ensuring quality/compliance standards are met
