Job Description
Quality Inspector required for export Land Cable / 400kV grid connections Jointing and Termination works.
Onshore cable route to be provided onsite, this will be from the OSS to the TJB
Suitably competent resident jointing Inspector are required to be provided at the Onshore cable route as detailed above for 320kV HVDC Onshore export cable/FO cables and 400kV grid connection works.
1. Monitoring against contractual specifications as further detailed in the ITPs for the equipment;
2. Witnessing of all other testing as per the contract;
3. Follow approved ITP (see documents attached;
4. Write reports to the project - daily, weekly and monthly as required;
5. Identify NCRs;
6. Maintain a log of open points
7. Monitor completions process, signing documentation as witnessed
8. Monitor closure of open points/snags/NCRs
9. Review records
10. Onsite Inspectors do not approve any documents
11. Escalate issues to Project QM and wider Q Team as detailed in the surveillance plans
12. Compile surveillance records
13. Attend Quality Meetings with Contractor and Project QM as directed
14. Write meeting minutes/ and update logs
15. Support Project QM and wider quality team on issues as requested and agreed on an ongoing basis
16. Liaise with wider project team on issues as required
