Our client is looking for an experienced Project Support Officer
The Council’s 24/7 Services unit is home to an accredited Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) / Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) control room which utilises a selection of technology to establish transmission with sites across the city.
The service is undergoing significant change, which includes the re-location of the service and upgrade of the video management system platform..
About the job
We are looking for a professional and motivated individual to support the effective delivery and implementation of strategic technologies in support of the Council’s key priorities. These technologies include but are not limited to; Wireless network, GDX systems, CCTV, Security and Alarm Receiving technology.
The Project Support Officer will support the relocation of the service as well as initiation, development and the management of other business change projects. These projects will be completed to the required quality and within the specified contraints of time and cost.
These projects represent considerable savings and income generation opportunities for Cardiff Council as well as continuing to support Housing residents and citizens of Cardiff.

What We Are Looking For From You
The successful candidate will have previous experience of project support and share our passion and enthusiasm to create a ‘state of the art’ Integrated Operations Centre for our alarm receiving and CCTV monitoring operation.
In a technology driven environment you will support the effective delivery and implementation of strategic technologies in support of the Council’s key priorities in the area of 24/7 Services.
Experience of working with contractors and stakeholders both internally and externally and you will be expected to develop and maintain strong and constructive working relationships.

This post is designated as hybrid, with duties delivered through a combination of office-based and remote working in line with service requirements.
