Are you a compassionate and creative SEND Primary Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with special educational needs?
GSL Education are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEND Primary Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Long Eaton starting September 2025. The successful candidate will have a passion for adapting learning to meet individual needs, creating engaging lessons that inspire every child to succeed.
Key Responsibilities of the SEND Primary Teacher:
* Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
* Foster a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment.
* Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to support each pupil’s development.
* Track and assess progress, adapting teaching approaches accordingly.
* Promote independence, resilience, and a love of learning in every pupil.
Requirements for the SEND Primary Teacher role:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching pupils with SEND, preferably within a primary setting.
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to teaching.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
