Developing advanced technologies for national security applications\n\nIn an increasingly lawless world, this company is boosting UK national security by developing technologies for detecting and deterring increasingly sophisticated adversaries\n\nYou will be working on advanced concepts with colleagues from a range of technical and scientific backgrounds, taking projects through the full development lifecycle from requirements capture and initial proof-of-concept through to finished product. With defenders and malefactors continuously striving for the technological edge, this role will keep you working on the cutting edge of what’s possible, and your work will make a positive impact to life in the UK. This role’s focus is hands-on engineering, but you should also be a good communicator, comfortable liaising with clients.\n\nYou will need:\n\n * A first or 2.1 degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or other applicable subject from a leading university as well as strong pre-university grades\n\n * Embedded software development experience, with excellent skills in C and a scripting language such as Python for testing.
Additional coding skills in languages such as C++ or C# or MATLAB would be a bonus\n\n * Expertise in areas such as software architecture, bare metal development, RTOS, Arm processors, or signal processing\n\n * Strong communication skills\n\n * British nationality – a high level of security clearance will be necessary and so only British citizens (single nationality) will be considered\n\nBased in modern well-equipped offices, this company has minimal hierarchy and bureaucracy and values employees’ ideas and initiative.
