Care Assistant

Location: Havencourt Care Home, Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Contract: Full Time, 33 hours per week
Salary: £12.70 per hour
Shift: Days
Responsibilities:
* Assist residents with daily routines, from dressing to staying active, encouraging independence.
* Support each resident’s personalized care plan, providing hands‑on help and thoughtful attention.
* Monitor residents’ health, communicating concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager and handling calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
* Uphold dignity and respect, ensuring residents feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
* Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
* Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, responding quickly to emergencies or call bells.
* Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
* Bring joy to residents’ lives, making them smile every day.
Qualifications and Experience:
* SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
* Ideally, at least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but passion for care and transferable skills welcome.
* Genuinely interested in caring for the elderly and committed to delivering excellent service.
* Integrity, respect, and strong teamwork in all duties.
