Ready to hit the road with a great deal? Driver Hire Edinburgh City is on the lookout for a skilled HGV 2 (Cat C) Driver to join a busy, thriving cash & carry operation based in Edinburgh. You’ll be driving a 7.5T vehicle — but here’s the twist: you’ll be paid full HGV 2 rates!
🛠️ The Job at a Glance:
1. Start Time: 07:30 AM, Monday to Friday – weekends free!
2. Deliveries: Stock deliveries to buzzing restaurants, lively pubs, cosy cafes, and more.
3. Tasks:
Operate a tail lift and handle stock manually.
Heavy lifting involved (think crates of alcohol and essentials).
Complete daily vehicle checks and essential paperwork.
Navigate fast-paced, multi-drop city centre routes.
🌟 Permanent Potential: Impress and this could turn into a long-term gig!
🔑 We’re Looking For:
âś… Category C licence (1+ year).
âś… Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card.
âś… Strong commercial driving background (preferred).
✅ Good physical fitness (you’ll need it!).
âś… No more than 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, IN endorsements).
đź’° PAYE Pay Rates (with Holiday Accrual):
4. ÂŁ14.00 per hour (standard hours)
5. ÂŁ18.66 per hour (overtime)
